Since we’re getting very close to the release of Spider Man: No Way Home, I decided to binge watch the whole Spider Man Trilogy starting with Tobey Maguire. After watching this, I have to admit that this movie really turned out to be a disaster that has very confusing elements and just a random mashup of villains such as Venom, Sandman, and a New Goblin (Harry Osborn). I mean, sure Sam Raimi was either probably in a rush or just thinking about what he and the others can put into this movie but they really went too far with the storyline in this one, and this ends on a very high note. I mean do Peter and MJ get back together or are they just staying as friends? Dancing together doesn’t mean anything depending on the circumstances, and the other problem is that Harry died in the end which leaves us with Peter and Mary Jane and Spider Man 4 was heading into production after this one, what would it have been about? The rumored villains were supposed to be the Vulture, Black Cat, and the Lizard, and the movie would’ve opened up with Spider Man arresting Mysterio. Vulture was the proposed villain for Spider Man 3 and since the film has been remade with the Amazing Spider Man and Spider Man: Homecoming, we’ve been able to see the Lizard, Vulture and Mysterio, so hopefully if the other Spider Men show up in Spider Man: No Way Home, we’ll be able to find out what happened after the events of both trilogies.
