How bad can an out of state trip go when you’re just going to visit a college? Nothing seems to be wrong with grabbing a little something to eat from a local grocery store, only to find yourself arrested for the thought of accidentally stealing a can of tuna, but you’re really being arrested for a murder you didn’t commit. That’s right, this is a true 1990’s classic that stars Joe Pesci, Marisa Tomei, and Ralph Macchio and one that you can just never skip over. This movie tells the story about two young kids driving to visit a college in Alabama but they shortly get arrested after making a pit stop. They then find themselves in for questioning for the thought that they were being arrested for shoplifting, but it was really for murder. Lucky for Billy Gambini (Ralph Macchio), he’s got an attorney in the family, and that’s Vinny Gambini (Joe Pesci)! Vinny and his fiancé Mona Lisa (Marisa Tomei) are a few amazing experts when it comes to these types of cases while Vinny deals with the case and Lisa helps with the most important elements of the case! Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei perfectly fit the roles in this movie knowing the chemistry they have during some hilarious scenes, this is a movie where it‘s nothing but enjoyable watching the whole movie with a combination of Comedy, Crime, and Trial drama and I honestly think Marisa Tomei deserved the Oscar for this film. I’m pretty sure a lot of us have seen this movie but this is definitely a great 90’s classic to check out!
