It’s been a while since we’ve seen Adam Sandler in an athletic role, but not so long since we’ve seen him in an important serious role. Happy Gilmore was an athletic breakout performance of Adam Sandler back in 1996 and a huge breakout of his performance of Uncut Gems 2019! The craziest part is that this movie was also produced by Happy Madison Productions who helped out with Happy Gilmore. His acting in this movie is outstanding and he’s proven himself to be one of those actors who can take any role given seriously and this new movie never seems to step out of line when you’re in that position of trying to find the perfect match to coach an important NBA team but while you’re at it, you face some difficulties along the way that include find the right player and the best way to show the world you’re not afraid to take any nonsense or dishonor. Adam Sandler’s chemistry with other amazing actors and professional Basketball stars in the movie like Ben Foster, Queen Latifah, Kenny Smith, Aaron Gordon, Juancho Hernangomez and the great Robert Duvall who hasn’t been seen in movies for a very long time! The film’s story also reflects real-life events that may not only relate to the world of NBA players but it also connects to real-life aspects that you might face along the way when you’re in a position of either not feeling known and you’re being disrespected constantly, you will notice a lot of moments in the movie that will switch your head to a predicament as of what’s to happen next to the main characters who are Adam Sandler and the player he’s training, Juancho Hernangomez. The main message here is that anything is possible no matter how much circumstances or dishonor you’re facing. As I was watching this movie, I even noticed that there were some connections to Rocky in the concept of Adam Sandler’s training methods, becoming a professional, and inspirational arguments between the two that helped Juancho to grow stronger. If I was to recommend this movie and give a rating to Adam Sandler’s performance, I would totally recommend and immediately give Adam Sandler a 5-Star Performance.
